A big thank you to everyone who attended the Ravine Sketching Tours that took place in June! Besides local residents, we were joined by Hollye Maxwell from Portland, Oregon who was visiting Toronto for the very first time. Hollye is a talented artist, designer and garden enthusiast who was fascinated by all the native plants growing in the Wilket Creek Ravine. Checking out the lush surroundings at Toronto Botanical Garden was also on her to-do list while on her visit to Canada.
We also had another American, Kim Humphreys, take part in a ravine tour. Kim now lives in Canada and loves spending time at Toronto Botanical Garden - you can always spot an outdoor addict like Kim by the Tilley Hat! Her award winning poem, Nature as my Healer, was recently shared on this blog.
We have two more tours happening in July and both sessions are sold out. In case you missed out, there are still a few spots available on August 11th and 18th. The tours are free and you don’t need any art experience - just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm!
